“Mt. Analogue”
Per Cynthia, “Our study this week will focus on the Journey fable Mt. Analogue by Rene Daumal. This has long been one of my favorites, and I’ve been wanting to share it with you for years now. Rene Daumal was a brilliant young French student of Gurdjieff, and this work--part fable, part philosophical inquiry--is one of the most subtle and little known works in the “Spiritual Journey” genre. Since our class will begin in the first week of Epiphany, a deeper sitting down with the theme of transformation and transfiguration (MT. ANALOGUE’s real theme) seems totally appropriate. Copies of the book are in stock at the Chapel Book Nook.”
Most books listed as required reading can be purchased at the Aspen Chapel Book Nook before the beginning of each class. For more information, please call 970-925-7184.
