The Spiritual Paths Foundation provides a unique and holistic approach to the entire genre of inter-religious activity in our day. Going well beyond the spiritual rapprochement of many inter-faith events, Spiritual Paths offers a broad-based continuum of experiential, topic-oriented seminars, and a comprehensive educational follow-up for attendees with today’s leading spiritual teachers.

The Foundation promotes peace, respect, and mutual understanding between peoples of diverse religious and spiritual traditions.  We explore and celebrate the spiritual dimension in the human quest to integrate mind, body and spirit.  We support the emergence of InterSpirituality as a new paradigm for a new millennium.

Spiritual Paths Programs

Weekend Retreats

Our weekend seminars bring today’s leading spiritual teachers together with participants at inspirational venues throughout the country. They balance scholarly and experiential approaches to spiritual study and practice.

Spiritual Paths seminars help expand and deepen our spiritual knowledge and practice. They provide rare opportunities to join with esteemed spiritual leaders and to learn and experience the inner teachings of the world’s spiritual traditions.  Our programs also explore the application of spiritual wisdom, values, and experiences to the critical issues of our time.  We examine the perpetual human challenge to merge secular with spiritual priorities.

Since 2001, Spiritual Paths has presented more than fifteen InterSpiritual programs in the following locations.

  • Aspen Chapel and Aspen Institute, Aspen, Colorado
  • La Casa de Maria, Santa Barbara, CA
  • Garrison Institute, Garrison, NY
  • Naropa University, Boulder, CO
  • Hollyhock Retreat Center, Cortez Island, BC, Canada

These InterSpiritual programs have been led by authenticated teachers of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Native American traditions.  They are sound scholars, deep practitioners, and stimulating teachers.  Our programs are based on such themes as: Mysticism, Contemplation, Meditation, Love, Compassion, Relationships, Service, Wisdom, the Body, Nature, the Arts, Prayer, Devotion, Heath, and the End of Life.  These themes are articulated in the Spiritual Paths mandala.

Programs are organized around brief presentations, in-depth spiritual practice and discussion sessions, panel discussions, experiential movement and music, and a closing InterSpiritual service.  Teachers work with participants to plumb the contemplative and mystical depths of their respective traditions.  While gaining new conceptual knowledge we also experience non-conceptual knowingness wherein we are profoundly joined in one heart with respect, appreciation, and friendship.  Through this process, we model a new InterSpiritual paradigm through which we can transform our world one person at a time, beginning with ourselves.
