Youth Programs
The purpose of the Aspen Chapel youth program is to provide religious education and spiritual nurturing to students. This program is taught with a Christian emphasis; however, attention is given to learning about other faiths as well. We promote tolerance and acceptance of diversity; therefore, we role model positive values and ways of caring for all people.
At present, we offer scheduled educational programs for children from nursery age through grade eight, and periodic classes for high school students. Our Sunday School program meets every Sunday for one hour and offers a babysitting service for infants/toddlers, a Sunday School lesson for children ages 2-7, and an Older School lesson for children ages 8-12. Each lesson has a message and involves stories, discussions and a project or activity. In addition, we offer a Tuesday School program which includes school age children, kindergarten through eighth grade. This program meets on Tuesdays from November through May. Each year, age appropriate lessons are based on an overall theme. With seven teachers, many volunteers, and one director, we are able to offer a variety of learning including bible stories, theme based stories, question and answer sessions, art activities, video studies, etc.
