Have you got some exciting news to share with the rest of the church?  Has God been speaking to you on a particular topic that other people may find useful?  Have you been studying something new with your small group and you’d like to tell other people about it?  The document editor is the place where you can contribute to the church web site and see your work online!

Beginning a new article

  1. Login to the website (if you don't know how to login read the Take a tour article first).
  2. Hover over the

option to reveal several sub-options including my involvment. Hover over the my involvement option and then click on my documents; any documents written previously will be displayed as a list.

  3. Click on the Start a new article option at the bottom of the page.

Enter a title for the new article in the box provided and press the Continue button.

  4. The text editor works very much like a word-processor; enter text as normal and use the toolbar at the top of the screen to change the appearance of the text.

  5. To insert a table use the insert table button and select the number of rows and columns you require. Use the buttons in the table section of the toolbar to change the appearance of the table you have created.
  6. To insert an image use the  insert image button; a new window will open allowing you to choose an image from your computer. Select the 'Browse' option and select the image you wish to upload to the site. N.B.you should never use copyrighted images from the internet. For some examples of free or cheap stock imagery visit our support site for some recommendations. The image will be displayed in your article shortly afterwards.

    Submitting the article

  7. Once the document is complete press the Next button to continue:

    8.  Select which group you feel is the most appropriate location for your article and press the Submit button to complete the process.  An administrator will review and then publish the document in due course.

Planning your Visit

Hi there!

unnamed (9)

We are Nicholas and Heather Vesey
We lead the services here at the Aspen Chapel most Sundays.
Have a look around our site. There are plenty of fee courses to watch from our 'Wisdom from the Top of the World' page. Click here to go to it

If you are planning on a visit, here is some information as to what to expect:

When: We meet every Sunday at 9.30am for about an hour. If you cannot make it in person, you can live stream the event by clicking here.

Where: We are the chapel by the roundabout as you come into aspen. Specifically here.

What: We (Heather and Nicholas) come from a Christian Episcopal background, however our community draws from all the world’s wisdom traditions with the aim of learning together to live our lives more skillfully.

Every week we will focus on a topic within a theme.

GuernicaAt the moment we are looking at what the topic of 'Being at Peace'
How do we experience being at peace, and what is the connection to the nature of our 'being'.
When our 'being' is at peace, are we at peace?

We will have a musician who will set the mood for the event. That might be guitar, piano, or any other instrument. They will generally play 4 pieces throughout the service.

There will also be prayer and meditation, generally led by Heather, and Nicholas will give a talk on the topic for the day.

Finally, there is an opportunity for discussion and feedback as we pass the microphone around for everyone to join in.

Kids? We also offer childcare with younger children being looked after and given creative ways to look at a topic for the day.

Coffee and Yummies. After the service there is a food and drink reception for everyone to get to know each other a bit more.
