CYPRIAN CONSIGLIO
MONK, MUSICIAN, COMPOSER,
WRITER AND TEACHER

“THE TRANSFORMATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS”
Saturday May 13th 10-4
Sunday May 14th preaching at our morning service
Cyprian is a Christian monk, musician, composer, writer and teacher. He is currently the Prior of the New Camaldoli Hermitage, Big Sur, CA. He is a studentof the writings of Bede Griffiths with a great love for comparative religion. Cyprian regularly leads conferences on meditation, and we are delighted that he will be coming to Aspen in May.
He has written numerous articles and four books including “Spirit, Soul, Body,” which will form the basis of this workshop. This echoes the 'Mind, Body, Spirit' idea that is embedded in the Aspen ideal.

Much of his music and his teaching revolve around the universal call to contemplation through spirituality and the arts. He is a highly gifted performer and recording artist.
This event will include periods of teaching, music and meditation.
“Cyprian Consiglio believes that the call to
contemplation is universal. His approach must be
greeted with delight, particularly as he brings with
him the words of such as Origen, Bede Griffiths,
and Simone Weil. He brings a cornucopia of
richness and delight.”
Shirley du Boulay, Biographer of Bede Griffiths
