Friendship Advocacy Group

Helping HandsThe Aspen Chapel ‘Friendship Advocacy group’ is designed to provide a friend to help in times of trouble when an ‘advocate’ might be useful.
Friendship advocates will come together through compassion, kindness, supportive listening and note taking during a time when you might not be able to represent yourself.
Advocates use caring, non-judgmental listening skills.  Believing that people can be helped through befriending.  Our advocates will provide a valley wide network of support.
Advocacy does not replace professional medical, mental health, pastoral or social service care.
We can, however, shore up such supportive services between appointments or when family and friends are not available.
Do let us know if you would like to join by contacting Gracie or Ed.
